WC IL | I'm in far west central Illinois, and there have been a few guys over the years plant corn behind wheat in early July. All it made was very poor quality silage. Not sure what maturity corn they used, but it is getting late enough you need to think about getting it to black layer before frost. I'd think anything over 99 day corn would be stretching it.
Early hybrids generally don't move south very well, they can't handle the heat. I would think a realistic yield goal would be 0 to 60. | |
