NW ILLINOIS | Had been using live traps here. But kept seeing
the trap sprung and food (dry cat food) gone.
I have a trail cam in the pole barn and found out
that the coons were big enough that their tails
kept the trap from latching.
Went a purchased a BIG live trap and I'm at #6
so far this year.
I put a small piece of plywood under the trap where
the food is so they get a good meal before the end.
We were worried about the cat also but only once in
the cage and never again. They still come and go. Keep
mice at bay.
