Because you never know when the roof is going to blow off of your office and rain 3” directly onto your server.
We do have an offsite backup. No one has had time to check that yet this morning, though.
Sorry to hear, hope you had an off site backup. We had hail damage at one facility (flat roofs) which resulted in "inside rain". We have plastic bags over things and even old road signs perched on top of racks to redirect the water off the electronics.
