I attended Panhandle Coop annual meeting ('90?) where he was the entertainment. It was my first experience with Cowboy Poetry. I loved it, even if it was Baxter's take on the form. He was on Johnny Carson and kept me up after my bedtime that night. Attended the American Angus convention in KC 5-6 years ago. Baxter was doing his thing and it was great.
