I helped a guy do one like that. The main thing we found is when the machine is doing the biggest shear, the motor is quite overloaded for a second or two. So, if you make a converter, use about a 30 hp idler motor for 10 hp load motor. Cost will be maybe $200 plus finding a motor to use as idler.
