Jack up each wheel and move it side to side, when everything is new you will get maybe an inch of movement but after a few years I have seen them have as much as 6 inches of movement, so it is very possible that you are seeing 2 - 4 inches of movement. Time for new pins and bushings in the scissor suspension.
