Farmington IL | It was about 10am tuesday morning. I was trying to mud in the last field of corn. My friend travis was helping by running the versatile and field cultivator in what will be the last field of beans getting it ready so I could plant it when I got to it in a couple hours. Cliff was disking a field for a neighbor so we could plant a little field for him. My phone rings, it was travis. He says "I have bad news." "I'm stuck and the cultivator is broke." About a million things went across my mind. I told him very specifically, "I am not going to quit planting, call cliff, have him come over to where you are. You and him should decide what to do and see what you can to get it out and DO NOT get anyone hurt." Everything went fine but I had a couple of nervous hours waiting for word to come on how things worked out. | |
