SE WI | With a wire feed machine, the wire options are almost limitless. This machine will easily do hardfacing, aluminum, stainless and some other rarer metals easily. (not quite as easy as TIG, but still pretty easy) For Aluminum a spool gun is best but the regular gun can be used as long as it is not too long. I'd say 12 feet is about the longest you can easily push Aluminum wire. Stainless will need different shielding gas than regular steel. Aluminum and Stainless can be welded with pure argon but for stainless an argon, oxygen or argon 2 or 5% CO2 mix will usually work. Depends on the type of stainless that needs to be welded.
As far as options go, pretty much all you need are drive rolls and different sized tips and liners for using different sized wire. .030 and .035 usually use the same liner but best results will be with a properly sized liner for the wire size.
