| It probably wouldn't hurt to try to track the previous owner down and find out what he was running in it. If you talk to mechanics who know about these machines, they are much more extreme about taking care of the hydraulic oil in them than in anything else I've ever dealt with. Read your manual when you get it and make sure you do your clean up procedure after you get done changing the oil. As was mentioned, running the oil through the filter takes a long time when you're doing something like 30 gallons. If you let it free flow you'll be standing up there for 3 hours or so. What we do with our Patriot 150 is we get a 50 gal drum of Hy-Tran and lift it up there with a forklift. We rigged a hose up that connects directly to the top of the tank. We connect the two and walk away for a few hours. | |
