We are considering the purchase of a very nice truck tractor. It seems priced right with very low miles etc. It would pull a grain trailer and lowboy trailer. I have a lot to learn about trucks. The truck has a single axle and is not overpowered at 330 and 350? in cruise. It has a 10sp with overdrive and runs great.
The low hole seems low but we don't know the rear end ratio. We are trying to running the vin # today to try to learn more.
We are hoping to add an air tag to this truck. What do you think. Will I be stuck alot? Is this a bad idea? Turning radius should be good right? Would take less power to pull right? Any ideas what it might cost or any advise would be appreciated. The wheel base would be about 180" or a little less with the air tag. Is the current rear end heavy enough. What do we need to know? Its a T800. | |
