I had a 1000 gallon pull type before I went to 800 gal self propelled. It's no comparison. The SP can spray faster than the tractor can drive down the road. Plus a tractor doesn't have the clearance for most crops. Tractor gets stuck a lot easier too in our conditions. But for a grain farmer, it would save a lot of money.
