Have you looked at the rolling stalk chopper yet? Just curious of what you thought of it. Joe
Yep, I went and looked at a Besler unit last night at Weisberg Implement in Webster City, IA. I was quite impressed with the overall engineering behind the unit. Both the front and rear cross tubes are 7" square tube that is filled with sand for additional weight. The ends are capped so I was not able to grab the wall thickness. The unit is definitely heavy, there is no doubt about that. I took a few pictures but have not had an opportunity to pull them off of my camera.

Overall, I'm not sure what to think of the straight blade with angled row unit versus running the row unit straight with angled blades, such as with the Roll-a-cone unit:

I ordered a Roll-a-cone catalog earlier this week so I'm looking forward to seeing their prices. One row unit assembly from Besler parts is $$$$$. |
