I changed the hydraulic fluid in my father in laws 4430 shortly after I married his daughter. Was not but just a few days later, the transmission went out! Topshaft bearings I guess are notorious for going out on the early 4430's. $7500 repair bill! Had nothing to do with changing the oil. Used Hygard.
