I got tired of always having to "wake up" my computer when I come into the office by shaking the mouse around for a while. So, I changed sleep settings.

Set screen to 4 hrs. Set computer to NEVER. But, I'm wondering if having the actual computer alive forever like that will shorten it's running life? Instead of 10 yrs, will it crap out in 8 because it never shut down? Or, does it make any difference?
