Elkmont, AL | Ok so I had pretty good two days cutting wheat till about 6pm this afternoon and within 15 min. fan adjust motor quit working, so manually adjusted fan, fixed. Go to start cutting and header won't stay on for longer than 5 sec., so swap sensor off of spinners on the rearend and whoala working again. Cut for about 200 yards and clink bang boom, fan hub goes out. Not all bad news I guess, fan did not go through the radiator. Just wanted to vent for a second, but real question is I seem to remember everyone says check the fan hub that went out for play. So I assume it must be a pretty common problem. Is there an updated piece to replace the original? If not how many hours should this hub last? Any tips on replacing it, got engine shield on top of motor off so it will be easier to work on, but was still to hot to work on tonight. Looks pretty straight forward to fix. Hopefully someone close has the part. thanks. | |
