I was guessing. But loading, booming, unbooming, unloading etc... would take a while. If it's less than a 15 mile haul, I bet you spend more/same time as roading the sprayer.
Parts wear on the roading would be higher, but I was mostly just addressing the issue of leaving the sprayer running-vs-dumping the air. Air dump valve would be a lot cheaper than letting the sprayer run.
