central Kansas
This is a reman engine from Abilene Machine...valves and injectors have not been adusted since it was put into service, 1000 hours back.
(Engine has been turned up to 300 hp....makes a better tractor out of that 4840!!)
Can adusting the valves and injectors correct the problem? And how much fuel dilution is toleraable?? Morning check of oil, it was
halfway between add and full; mid-afternoon the missed developed, and now the oil level is just above full mark. I have run the
tractor under moderate load, with BG 244 diesel injector cleaner in the tank...no effect on miss. I had changed oil and filters about
15 hours ago, and better change it again.... my email is stubblefeist @ yahoo . com I would not mind talking you about 4WD
Massey's...still have a 1505 (with 215 hp CAT) used daily.
