northeastern Ohio | I would recommend buying a new one or demo model. They hold their value very well, which means that used ones tend to be overpriced. In 2006 I bought a demo 2005 Honda Foreman 4x4 for $4700 and sold my 1995 Suzuki King Quad for $1800. I had bought the Suzuki brand new and it cost me less than $300 per year in depreciation. I expect the Honda to cost even less per year.
The other problem with buying a 10 year old machine is that there will be repairs needed. I spent $180 on repairs on the King Quad in the 10 years (5500 miles). I would guess that it will need 10 times the repairs in the next 10 years. | |
