| Had to replace the hydro charge pump on our 83 8820. Deere only lists a replacement pump for a machine with a serial number in the pre-479000 range. Ours is a 565000. When the local JD dealer said this is the only pump available I went ahead and took it. Turns out it is about 1.5" longer (from the mounting flange to the back of the pump). This creates an interference fit with the hydro operating cable and levers. I have talked to three different dealers and none of them can tell me how to install this pump or what pump to install in its place. Has onyone else ever run into this? | |
