Garner Iowa | I mounted the 500 in my mx 240 directly in front of the steering wheel. I simply popped out the air vent louvers on the steering column, drilled holes and mounted the ram ball right to the plastic. its rigid since there is a seam in the middle between the two pieces of plastic. Its been there for over 2 years with no problem. I like it there, is much easier to see than having it on the side on the horizontal bar. That bar is pretty full already anyways.
