| I have a '72 IH 1600 with a 4/2 speed and 345 engine. When I step on the brake pedal, the motor starts to cut out. Even when idling, it will idle fine, but as I step on the brake, it starts to cut out, run rough, and will even die if I hold it long enough. When driving, it runs fine but when I come up to a corner and brake, I have to get back into the gas quickly to keep it from stalling out.
Any suggestions on the problem or where to begin checking?
Don't tell me the solution is to 'get rid of it'.......it was Dad's old truck and for some reason I feel obligated to keep her running! :>)................. | |
