Sorry to have to break this to you, but plastic is plastic. It's not gonna last.

Take really good care of it and it might last a bit longer. But it is still going to get brittle and chalky with age.

Don't believe me? Look at some 10 or 15 year old equipment, any brand.

If "last" means 5 years, yes-no problem. If "last" means 40 years, no-not gonna happen. Period.
