Alberta, Canada | A couple days ago I posted I was having issues with a new hydraulicly driven hypro centrifugal sprayer pump.
It was kicking out my spool valve when I opened up my tank agitator valve.
So anyway I backed up my 2090 and tried it and it worked no problem....had too much pressure!
So I took the case 970 and the sprayer over to fill up for some spraying. While I was filling I went and got my hydraulic pressure gauge and plumbed it in inline to the pump pressure side just to see how much pressure I was building up to run the thing. It takes 1500 psi when its running I found. While I was fooling around hooking stuff up I also tried the other spool valve on the tractor. Long story short I did some spraying with the 970 tonight after all! I don't know what the hell I did but it works fine. I even had to cut it back a bit as it was producing too much volume and pressure. Maybe there is something "tired" on the old 970 hydraulics. | |
