| We struggled with that kind of problem on a Genesis tractor for about two years. It would die and was tough to get it restarted unless we wired the fuel solenoid open.
We tried filters, replaced the solenoid (which is not cheap) and cussed at the tractor many many times. We realized that it would only do this in the summer and when the AC was running, but couldn't figure out the problem.
Last spring, the alternator quit working. We put on a new alternator and it serendipitously solved the shutdown problem! The computer/electronics that control the shutdown solenoid more sensitive than the other electronics so we never noticed a voltage problem.
The alternator must have been failing for a long time without any obvious signs. The dealer couldn't figure it out, either because every time they came out, the tractor had cooled off, thus allowing the alternator to function. It was an easy fix to a long frustrating problem!
