Callao Missouri | Both of them for the same customer on two different tractors. His broke right at the flange also. I took the muffler off and shined everything up with a wire wheel on a die grinder. Next I tried the wire feed welder and that did not suit me. I ended up using a small brazing tip on the torch and good clean baling wire to weld the flange back on the muffler. Both of them are still holding today. I just get the flange and the muffler pipe red hot at the crack add when you see the crack disappear, stick the baling wire down there for a little filler mettle. after you get all the way around you could come back again and clean it up a little if you need to. I did the outside first then came around and touched up the inside of the flange area also. Takes about an hour to weld it up and an hour to take it of and put it back on. Jon | |
