I had the same question a few months ago. I don't like the width either. However, the other day I took the nose and chin weights off and it made an entirely different tractor out of it. It virtually quit berming, and rides down the gravel and asphalt smooth. Seeing the results of better balance has convinced me I have to put up with the width, or start pulling a tank instead.
