SE PA | I posted the other day about a JD4240 that won't lift the hay tedder, and since then I've made a little headway.
I got the L&D moving again, and set it as far as it will go for D, and now the tedder (and 3pt) will lift maybe 12 inches. Steering works fine, hydraulic outlets work fine, brakes work fine, and I stuck a gauge in the #1 outlet, and it read around 2200psi.
I did notice that on the L&D If i disconnect the linkage, and move it by hand, I can hear it come against a 'stop' of sort on the inside, but the acutal control inside the cab (when I hook it all back up) isn't at the end of the range of motion. I think this is where the problem all lies, but I could be wrong.
hyd oil is full, looks clean, filters were just changed.
