Mid-Missouri | We recently purchased an 04 excavator with about 3200 hours. Seems to have excellent service history from hertz rental. The machine has the deere 6.8 liter. It starts better than excellent. You can't hear the flutter while in the cab operating, but if you are around it when someone else is running it, you can hear a flutter through the exhaust. It doesn't seem to smoke any, or atleast any more than a diesel under slight load should. Do you think I have an injector problem, or possibly air getting into the fuel. Where should I start to look, or do you think it is not worth the time. | |
