That's unfortunate. Vermeer has had a reputation of having quality and heavy built machinery. If they used Chinese bearings, it's too bad they gave up quality for price.
I also know of a local manufacturere that tried the same thing with his iron. Chinese iron was of such poor quality they couldn't make machinery out of it.
