Subject: 15 in. Martin spading closing wheel on Knize

I'm putting a single 15 in. Martin spading closing wheel, per row, on 3600 Kinze planter and am not sure of setting the spacing from the wheel to the seed trench. The instructions call for 1 7/8 inch spacing, but because of the angle of the wheel when mounted on closing arm, I'm not sure from where on the wheel to measure. The kit comes with a spacer and 3 washers. With all washers and spacer installed it still appears as if the wheel could be close enough to angle under the seed. Does anyone have this setup and does anyone know how many washers should be used on Kinze for proper spacing?
