I am not aware of anyone who has been reprimanded and totally understand where you and others are coming from...as long as we are doing our part and not violating any rules we would/should be OK. I do have a good working relationship with one of the FAA's UAV go-to-persons here in Iowa and they visit with my UAV class at the college every year and they do mention where a farmer/producer falls into the rules of certified or not. I have always erred on the side of caution...I'm one of those that would rather ask for permission and beg for forgiveness and when I'm teaching this to college kids, I want to get them into the right frame of mind and not have them leaving here being that maverick pilot that could potentially ruin it for the rest of us.
