My husband is 100% American German--meaning his great grandparents came over here from Germany and his relatives have married American Germans since. I myself am a "mutt", but still with a lot of German blood. I have also studied five years of German and have been over there. I have a penpal that we've been writing, now e-mailing, since I was 10 years old. (Won't tell you how many years that is, now:) We are proud of our German heritage/culture. Anyway, "Fefernuse" is a "pet name" we gave our dog who passed away a couple years ago from lymphoma. My husband just honored her by using it as his handle. | |
