Subject: Re: setting up 2388 for wheat....help

Montgomery City, MO
On my 2188 I have large wire concaves with all of the wires installed, specialty rotor-standard(non-rasp) bars for corn and soys. For wheat I put on three Gordon cover plates like cotton880. I run the standard shoe and sieve. 90% of my combine hours on on corn and soybeans. This wheat setup works fine for me but if I was cutting a bunch of wheat acres I would get on of those fancy wheat shoes in addition to what I do. harvesting.com is good place for info
