Are you sure the lift is lifting the way is should or has the pull rod bracket maybe wiggled loose on the square shaft??
On my 9350's I had the hydraulic lift arm U bolt willge loose once in a while and it would not shut the drill off like it should. I pulled a cultivator in front of ours and missed it coming loose an ruined the square lift shaft by striping it round once and had to replace it.
Still having problem with JD 8300 drill
