I tried the MacDon rotary and unless they have made major changes you won't like it. I was cutting a new seeding of alfalfa, laying a wide swath. The MacDon left so many lumps and wads in the windrow that it was very dificult to get the hay dry enough to bale. Stick with the Hesston or buy a New Holland.
