Subject: RE: Antique Clipper Cleaner

Lenawee Co Michigan
On a two-screen mill, figure a maximum of 2 bu per ft² per hour. I'm suprised it was only $5. A couple years ago those old mills were selling sky high with the corn-burning fad, everyone was looking for them to clean their own corn.

Average screen sizes needed:
Beans, 20 round hole top, 11/64" slotted bottom
Wheat, 13 round hole top, 5½/64" slotted bottom.

For some reason Clipper doesn't use 128ths of an inch in their screen sizes, so they will say 5½/64ths rather than 11/128".
