Like others have said, I would try to get the ducks in a row so that my spouse would have it as easy as possible, Talk it over with the family.
"Would you continue doing what you love or would you attempt to "clean up your mess" ?
Bob you answered your own question "DO WHAT YOU LOVE".
And from what I've learned about you over the last few years... (I think it was 1998 when you explained to me what a vole was (grin))...i doubt you have too much MESS to clean up.
