| Not entirely true. There are places in this state where some of the stories are the same, the dollars a little different because of wheat as opposed to corn. The operation stays viable due to the landowner royalties from oil or gas. 3 or 4 oil wells making a combined total of 20 to 32 barrels a day, that's 2.5 to 4 barrels a day for the landowner, makes some poor farmers look good. Doesn't happen everywhere, but it does happen. | |
