Subject: RE:Being critical of the seed industry

SW MN and Gold Canyon AZ
I farm and work for a seed company. I believe it makes me a better salesman than the ones that don't farm. I do alot of compairisons between products on my own farm, see and grow and combine the newest products before the farmer sees them ect...I have a better handle on products then the DSM's that don't farm. I can show yield maps of my products and how they respond on differnt soil types, populations ect...
I also know what farmers want because I am one.
I understand BOTH sides of the equation.
I only farm 700 acres, I don't think that small of acres makes me a very big competitor with my neighbors and surely not a competitor with farmers I work with in other counties.
If I can multitask, run 2 businesses at once and be successfull at both why not??If I am willing to work 12 to 15 hr days should I not be rewarded more than the guy that works 8 hours a day??
I love to farm, but I also love to sell seed and work with farmers getting them higher yields.
