Cambridge, southwestern Nebraska | I've used electric pumps for years. As far as accuracy goes, it works very well once you have the speed and pressure adjusted. How often do you vary your speed during planting. I pretty much stay the same speed except for a ditch or something.
I use a Shur-flow DDP 550 pump. Very simple system. Got mine from Schaffert Manufacturing.
I would reccomend putting filters in front of the pump and in-line screens prior to the orifices. I have very little trouble or maintenace with mine. |
