What were your planting dates? Did you put any P and K down with the strip-till or planter? Also, was the planter setup changed at all for planting on the strips vs notilling? Example-> I had some corn stalks that I didn't get strip-tilled last spring so I decided to no-till corn in between the old corn rows. I had never no-tilled corn before so it was an eye opener as far as the changes I had to make in increased down pressure, closing wheels, and setting the row cleaners more aggressively. Once I got back to planting on my strips, I had to raise the row cleaners up or I was moving way to much soil and actually planting into a trench, down pressure also had to be backed off because the strips were very mellow. Not questioning your plot results or meaning to point out any flaws, just looking for the less obvious things that might have played a roll.
