Subject: Swathing droughthy corn

Hale, CO
Just wondering guys if any of you have ever swathed and baled (drougthed/hailed twice) corn for cattle feed. Corn is about 2-5 feet tall and does have ears on it because of late rain(Aug-Sept) but ears will never mature until Thanksgiving (still milky no dent). Does it take a long time to dry before you can bale safely? Would like to get corn off and drill to wheat. Value of the crop?
Sorry about all the questions any input would be appreciated

Thanks
