Newfane NY | I can not answer your question on humic acid.
I do have faith that it works for me as I have gone from a 7 to 10 day insect spray on cabbage to a 18 to 30 day program, whilst thy neighbor is fighting worms at 7 day intervals. Not just with humates but a whole synergistic mix of strange things I thought I would never think of using.
I wish I I was closer to Perdue for their compost, though
