Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot | Its harder with a wagon than a squeeze. In a wagon your always looking behind you and you can't see off to the side.
I build outside or tarp stacks for a few guys each year. 99% of my stacking is done in barns. Outside stacks are harder. I should have snapped a picture of the one I stacked 2nd cutting. 2 blocks wide, 2 high right between a shop and a barn. Came out nice and straight. I cheated however and used the shadow of the barn to mark a straight line in the gravel. Unfortunately the owner saw what I was doing so I couldn't even take the credit for being 'good'. Got all but one load gone in a matter of a few weeks though so we didn't even need to tarp it.
The string on the ground is the easiest way to get them straight, short of a whole row of barn poles ;)
I've also go one barn I stack in that is crooked. Must have been built that way, but it is always interesting making sure you curve and follow the barn. | |
