Aberdeen MS | The thing with the Dawn and incorporating the fertilizer along with stripping is the fertilizer is mixed within the entire worked strip vs a more concentrated band in a slot below.
Greatly reduces the chance of "burn" but adds the benefit that fertilizer is available to more roots.
I asked George Rehm a few years ago about using liquid with the Dawn at a full rate of 140 - 35 - 50 doing a 1/3 placement to the left and right colter each and 1/3 over the top mixed in. His reply was with 45 units of N blended and the other 90 units in basically a 2 X 2 to the seed, he saw no detriment to the set up. He then said if I was uncomfortable....wait 3 days before planting and one would be good to go. | |
