I did it on 65 acres last year-turned out pretty decent-about 8bu less than my corn following beans (also no till)-was still money ahead of beans. Just split the rows and it worked great.
This year I tried 40 acres for 3rd year no-till corn on corn. I haven't harvested yet but I have to advise against it at this point. There was so much residue that it looked like windrows after the row cleaners went through. Then the monsoon hit and moved a lot of the windrow back over the rows.
In CIL this was a tough year to no-till corn anyway-just never got warm enought and never dried under all that residue. My 1st year no-till corn isn't much to brag about but the 3rd year stuff really struggled out of the gate.
I haven't given up yet but test area is going to get smaller again this year. If I decide to stick with continuous corn may seriously consider strip till.
