Central IL | Good points. I also wish all plot results, juiced or not, included raw data, not massaged. By that I mean ACTUAL moisture %, test weight, and yield for each variety. Not claims of "adjusted" to X% moisture. What in the world was the "adjustment" value? I haven't seen a "standard" shrink% for adjusting. Our local uses 1.4%, but within that is shrink from handling and certainly a profit %. Real shrink may be closer to 1.1%.
Some of these test weights scare me to death. Hope I don't see any 52 test weights, the 60-62 sure makes me happier.
I full well understand the downfalls of harvesting 16% corn, been there done that, scattered plenty of kernals on the ground.
I'd rather have raw data and draw my own conclusions then have an invisible adjustment value. | |
