Subject: Be Careful of Plot Results - Let's post field averages

It's always fun to post and brag about plot results, but the real story is overall field yields. We run everything through digital scales. We estimate yields after we have a legitimate 1/2 mile pass (weighed) in that variety, but we never state "our corn is going X" until a field is completely done. Has anyone done a whole field across the scales? Many of the plots in this area are totally "juiced" from start to finish. Remember folks, traders read these boards, so these claims of "huge" yields simply give a false perception to the market.

We are going to combine 80 acres of some early Dekalb this weekend.
DK 52-43, planted 4-24 (corn on corn) - sprayed with Headline
It tested 19.5% last night (hand-shelled), so it is probably between 20-21%
I'll post the complete field yield when done.
