Regarding the EZsteer handling higher speeds better with the faster update rate, I have no doubt of that.

My point above was regarding drift. When the EZsteer/WAAS says it is off by 4", it really doesn't know how much it is off because of the inaccuracy of WAAS. I suspected that to be the case when I was planting for the past three years, but thought it also could be implement drift. This year with RTK and the same setup otherwise, had no issues at all with planter drift...it was, in fact, GPS drift with WAAS that had been experiencing. The EZ may think it's only off by 4", but it may, in fact, be off by 2 feet and can't detect it because of the signal jumping around.

Can the 500 with 50hz update rate handle more speed? I'm sure it can. Can it always be within 4"? No way. It may say it is, but it's lying part of the time. Does that really matter for spraying? Probably not. Should work fine anyway for spraying or drilling or tillage or any non-repeatable, non-row-crop task.
