Subject: RE: NORAC UC4 automatic boom height

Central Minnesota
Don't really know that much about Norac as I purchased a used sprayer that has it on. Not sure on question 1, but the books says that to be careful if mounted on breakaway it the breakaway goes up as it goes back it will tell the boom to go lower and that could be a problem. I would think if it goes straight back it shouldn't be a problem.  The only problem I see is that they want the sensor toward the front and if to far out to the end that could catch on something and get ripped off.

Question 3: I don't believe getting wet will permanently ruin them as on the sprayer I purchased the outside sensors are on a part of the boom that tips upside down when folded so they have been wet many times and seems they are still working. I also was wondering what they cost as the book says they are a normal wear item and have to be replaced from time to time as they wear out.
